The Pine Belt Women’s Expo is designed to enrich, empower, and entertain women in an environment of celebration and fun.
We aim to positively impact the lives of Pine Belt women as they find products or services that make a difference in their lives.
Seminars are included in Expo admission. They will be presented in the Executive Conference Room.
9:00 – 10:00 AM Mentally Surviving During a Pandemic presented by Danyella Berry-Terrell, LMSW
After being in a pandemic for almost 3 yrs, it’s okay to not be okay. Whether the strain is home, work, or just general it is important to identify adaptive coping strategies to survive the “new normal”. Be the first to enter the Expo by joining Danyella for this pre-Expo session at 9AM! Danyella wears a lot of hats as Clinical Therapist, Adjunct Instructor, Business Owner, Business Coach, Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter and friend.
10:30 – 11:00 AM You Can Do It: Managing Your Fear of Public Speaking presented by writer/speaker Laura Anne Ewald
Even the most outgoing can suffer an anxiety attack when faced with an audience, and for those of us on the introverted end of the personality spectrum, it can prove downright terrifying. Join writer/speaker Laura Anne Ewald for tips and encouragement for the reluctant public speaker. Whether facing a job interview, an employee training session, or a presentation to the board of directors, you will leave with an action plan to boost your confidence.
11:30 – 12:00 PM The Busy Woman’s Guide to Creativity presented by author/trainer Mary Beth Magee
Creativity encompasses so much more than arts and crafts. When we nurture our own creativity, we support problem solving, relationship building and enjoying a higher quality of life. Join author/trainer Mary Beth Magee for a session dedicated to opening your life to the creative possibilities around you. You’ll leave with a selection of tools and techniques to utilize in all aspects of your life.
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Senior Readers’ Acting Group presented by Legacy Actors Theatre, under the direction of founder and stage veteran, Sherri Marengo
Join the first Senior Readers’ Acting Group at the Women’s Expo! Under the direction of founder and stage veteran Sherri Marengo, the members of Legacy Actors Theatre Experience will make you laugh out loud! The actors of L.A.T.E. are all senior citizens with a lot of life left for theater and they want to show you what you’re missing. Catch a couple of performances Saturday Feb. 5th at 12:30. Pick up a lunch from a Women’s Expo food vendor and meet us in the Executive Conference Room for a show and information about how YOU can become the next member of Legacy Actors Theatre Experience- better L.A.T.E. than never!

Emerge Events is a local event management company founded by Jennifer and Steve Clark in 2011. The Pine Belt Women’s Expo was their very first event back in 2011! Since then they have created several signature events and also work with businesses and nonprofit organizations on their event planning needs. We will be following the recommendation of the MS Department of Health and will require masks for the event. We will also have hand sanitizer available. Please do not attend if you do not feel well, if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or if you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19.
Note that we will NOT be having our childcare room this year.
